An Adventure in Space & Time Casting Revealed

The casting for Mark Gatiss’ docu-drama about the origins of Doctor Who, An Adventure in Space and Time, has been revealed today.

The actor landing the role of the First Doctor himself, William Hartnell, is David Bradley – who Who fans will recognise as Solomon last year’s Dinosaurs on a Spaceship. In other casting news, Jessica Raine (Call the Midwife, and also starring in an episode of this year’s series of Who) will play producer Verity Lambert, Brian Cox (X-Men 2, The Bourne Identity) will play the Head of Drama, Sydney Newman, and Sacha Dhawan (The History Boys, Being Human) will play the director of the first episode, Waris Hussein.

An Adventure in Space in Time will air on BBC Two this November.
