BBC America Events for Doctor Who Premiere Announced

BBC America have announced several Doctor Who events leading to Peter Capaldi’s debut as the Twelfth Doctor on August 23rd, including theatrical screenings of the anticipated first episode of Series 8.

A special programme, Doctor Who: The Companions will air at 9pm ET on August 16, a week before the release of Deep Breath, followed by The Real History of Science Fiction: Time at 10pm ET.

Another amazing treat for fans is ‘Doctor Who: The Ultimate Time Lord, which will air on Monday 18th August at 10pm, the day will also be the start of an amazing week of Doctor WhoDoctor Who Takeover Week. The week will begin also on the 18th of August, at 8am.

From August 6th, Whovians will be able to vote for their favourite episodes on , the winners of these polls will then be shown on August 24th.

Missed the chance to watch Day Of The Doctor in theaters last year? Not to worry, because BBC America has got a new companion, Fathom Events. The company will broadcast screenings of the premiere episode from August 23rd to August 25th, with the full feature length story Deep Breath and extra content. And that’s not it, Comedian and Doctor Who megafan Chris Hardwick will host a Doctor Who: Live Pre-Show at 7:30pm ET and after, Doctor Who: After Who Live at 11pm.
