BBC Restricts Past Doctors In Comics

Today, The BBC have banned all use of former incarnations of the Doctor in IDW comic books.

It was reported earlier today by io9.com in their outstanding artice about Tony Lee’s confirmation yesterday at the New York ComicCon that he is writing a new set of Doctor who comic books for IDW, this is quite off putting for IDW as they are now no longer allowed to use incarnations of the Doctor.

Tony Lee has given the BBC “a massive six thousand word pitch” regarding the new comic book series which is being written by the writer:

“If you do a new Martha story everybody knows how it ends but with new companions, you can do things people don’t know”.

So Lee plans to put the doctor into differant situations in the series, so they are not breaking the law and they wont be prosecuted by the BBC
