Doctor Who 2014 World Cup: Qualifying Rounds – Series 6 (2011)

Welcome back to the Doctor Who 2014 World Cup! Last week’s poll had our most votes yet and saw Vincent and the Doctor claim the win for Series 5 qualifier – and you can check the latest four stories to qualify which will participate in the group stages on our World Cup page.

New to our World Cup? Here’s a quick explanation. There are eight qualifying rounds – one for each series plus the Specials, from which 32 stories progress (the top four from each qualifier). The group stages follow, from which the top two from each group of four stories progress into the classic tournament-style knockout rounds. Eventually, two stories will reach the final, with the winner being crowned World Cup champion!

The qualifiers continue today with Series 6, where Matt Smith returned to our screens as the Eleventh Doctor, and Amy Pond and Rory Pond also were reunited. Amy had her child, which turned out to be our favourite archaeologist River Song. Room 11 was also unlocked and the Doctor faced brutal new enemies, The Silence – but which story was your favourite? You can vote below for your favourite two stories of Series 6!

The poll will be open until Friday 14th March – so please get your votes in before then! We’ll have the results as soon as the poll closes on our World Cup page – and come back next Saturday for the Series 7 qualifying round – where you can vote for your favourite episodes from Series 7, where we met new companion Clara Oswald and Matt Smith had his final series as the Eleventh Doctor
