Panini UK, the current publishers of Doctor Who Magazine, will be taking over the publication of Doctor Who Adventures from next month.
The magazine, aimed at younger fans of Doctor Who, will move from current publishers Immediate Media without a break in publication, with Jason Quinn taking over as editor.
The news of the move was revealed on the Gallifrey Base forum by DWM editor Tom Spilsbury, who also confirmed that the first issue from Panini would be released on April 23rd.
Launched in 2006, Doctor Who Adventures was initially a fortnightly publication from BBC Worldwide, before its success saw issues released weekly. It was then sold to Immediate Media in 2011, but declining circulation figures in recent years have led to it changing to its current status as a four-weekly publication.
Next month’s first issue from Panini will see the numbering reset to Issue 1 and may see some changes in the format, according to Quinn. The April issue will also carry a new-look comic strip written by Quinn and drawn by Russ Leach.
The final issue of Doctor Who Adventures from Immediate Media, Issue 363, is on sale until April 21st.
