For the past week you’ve been voting in our two polls for The Caretaker – our ‘rate the episode’ poll and our Question of the Week poll. We’ve now closed both polls and you can view the results below:

First up, our rate the episode poll. The episode received a similar (solid) response to Time Heist (view that here) taking the record for the most 4/5 votes this series but the least 5/5 votes:

  • Very good – 51.72%
  • OK – 14.66%
  • Not too great – 5.17%
  • Awful – 0.86%
You can see the updated Series 8 leaderboard below, showing the average scores for each poll – we’ll be continuing to update it weekly to show your favourite episodes of the series so far. The Caretaker narrowly edged Time Heist in the end, coming in at number three:

  5. Into the Dalek – Average score of 3.9/5
  6. Robot of Sherwood – Average score of 3.7/5
*The average score was reported as 4.0/5 last week – as it drew with The Caretaker to two significant figures a slightly more precise result was used here.
The Caretaker‘s Question of the Week asked the question; should Clara have told Danny about the Doctor and her travels in the TARDIS before? TGT voters came out in favour of Danny, with the majority saying he deserved to know:
  • Yes – Danny deserved to know – 53.98%
  • No – Clara was right to keep it secret – 46.02%

We’ll have a rate the episode poll for Kill the Moon up straight after the episode tonight at 9.15pm, with our Question of the Week coming tomorrow.
