This year’s Children in Need broadcast will feature an exclusive preview clip from the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas Special, Twice Upon a Time.
The BBC has confirmed to Radio Times that the clip from the special will air as part of next week’s Children in Need appeal night on BBC One. As in previous years, the new clip is due to be shown early on in the evening’s broadcast, between 7:30pm and 10:00pm.
A trailer for Twice Upon a Time was released earlier this year following an exclusive first showing at San Diego Comic Con:
Twice Upon a Time – expected to air on Christmas Day – will see Peter Capaldi bow out as the Twelfth Doctor after an adventure in which he joins forces with David Bradley’s First Doctor, originally portrayed by William Hartnell. The special is also set to feature Pearl Mackie’s final appearance as companion Bill Potts, while Jodie Whittaker will also make her debut as Doctor Who’s first female incarnation of the Doctor.
BBC Children in Need 2017 airs on Friday 17th November on BBC One and BBC Two – visit the official website for more details of the night’s performances, sketches and other content as well as fundraising ideas and ways to donate.
