It’s been nine whole months since Doctor Who left our screens at Christmas – but at last, the wait is over, with the Twelfth Doctor and Clara returning tonight for twelve new episodes! It all kicks off this evening with the first part of a thrilling, shocking opening two-parter, The Magician’s Apprentice – and to whet your appetite for tonight’s opener, here’s all you need to know about the episode:
Synopsis (Thanks to Radio Times)
As this first adventure begins, it seems the Time Lord has gone missing – which is bad news for Earth, as a mysterious alien force has frozen the skies. Clara needs to find her friend – but where is he and what is he hiding from? Things soon become clear with the appearance of a familiar old enemy with a black hat and Scottish accent.
