Doctor Who: The Complete Guide to Thin Ice

Last week, Bill and the Doctor took their first trip on the TARDIS together to an alien colony inhabited by sentient emojibots, and they weren’t given a moment’s rest before landing in a new spot of bother on the frozen Thames. Tonight in Thin Ice, we’ll see just what that elephant at the end of last week was about. Spoiler alert: it’s not the only creature on or in the Thames. Here’s everything you need to know about tonight’s ep:

Synopsis (Radio Times)

The Tardis lands in Regency-era London, where the Doctor and Bill attend the last of the great frost fairs. However, sinister forces are afoot, and something is stirring under the frozen surface of the River Thames. When people begin to mysteriously vanish while on the ice, the Time Lord and his new friend are drawn into another investigation. Bill discovers the England of the past is more like the modern day than she expected, and begins to realise that not all monsters come from outer space.
