Doctor Who has been featured in the latest issue of The Big Issue.
The issue celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who and looks ahead to the new series. Inside, there are interviews with Matt Smith, Jenna-Louise Coleman and executive producer, Steven Moffat.
Jenna-Louise Coleman offered a few hints to just exactly who her character, Clara Oswald is and how the Doctor and Clara spark:
“It is like they love each other and can’t stop hanging out with each other, but just can’t figure each another out.
“So they are staring at each other, with all these mathematical equations going their heads at the same time. It changes the Doctor so much because there is nothing he hates more than an unsolved equation. I don’t think they have ever done this kind of mystery about the companion before. It is something totally new.”
Speaking about the script for the 50th Anniversary special, Matt Smith said:
“It manages to pay homage to everything and look forward – I think that’s the genius of it. I read it and I clapped at the end.”
Issue 1044 of the Big Issue is on sale now for £2.50 around the UK.
