Doctor Who: Heaven Sent – Poll Results

For the past week you’ve been voting in our rate the episode poll for Heaven Sent. We’ve now closed the poll, and you can view the results below.

Face the Raven set a new record for the Capaldi era in terms of average score (you can view those results here) – and Heaven Sent broke another record by scooping up the most 5/5 votes of any episode in the era as yet. Despite this milestone, the episode was a tad more divisive than last week:
  • Amazing (5/5) – 75.17%
  • Very good (4/5) – 7.21%
  • OK (3/5) – 9.32%
  • Poor (2/5) – 4.01%
  • Dreadful (1/5) – 4.29%
Heaven Sent had an average score of 4.45/5 to two decimal places. That’s a very high score that puts it comfortably in the upper echelon of the Capaldi era thus far, but the high concentration of fan favourites in Series 9 means it slots in at a still-impressive number five on the leaderboard:
All average scores are out of 5. Due to the fact that it drew with Heaven Sent to two decimal places, a more precise average has been used for The Magician’s Apprentice.
  1. Face the Raven – 4.57
  2. The Witch’s Familiar – 4.55
  3. The Zygon Inversion – 4.53
  4. The Magician’s Apprentice – 4.454
  5. Heaven Sent – 4.450
  6. Under the Lake – 4.37
  7. Before the Flood – 4.054
  8. The Zygon Invasion – 4.048
  9. The Girl Who Died – 3.98
  10. The Woman Who Lived – 3.85
  11. Sleep No More – 2.92
We’ll have our final rate the episode poll of the series for you after Hell Bent tonight. Next Saturday, we’ll have a number crunch of the poll ratings for this series, with the full series leaderboard and some stats on how Series 9 fared compared to its predecessor.
