The consolidated viewing figures for episode two of Series 8, Into the Dalek, have been released.
The episode had 7.29 million viewers after a week of recordings – a rise of 2.09 million on the overnight figure of 5.2 million. That’s a strong timeshift (a higher percentage of viewers watched after transmission than Deep Breath), and is in line with previous series.
The figure does not include those watching on iPlayer on computers or tablets – Doctor Who was number one on iPlayer for two days after transmission.
