The overnight viewing figures for last night’s Doctor Who episode, Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS, have been released.
The episode had an audience of 4.9 million viewers and a share of 26.7% of the overall TV audience.
Doctor Who was the third most viewed programme of the day, with the first being ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent with 9.31 million viewers and BBC’s The Voice UK with 7.97 million viewers.
The figure is 100k down on last week and is the lowest of the series so far – but again, warm weather, an early timeslot (it’s also the third episode in a row to have a different timeslot to the previous episode) and a clash with Britain’s Got Talent affected – it’s also in line with the slight drop in viewing figures of the earlier RTD series.
The overall viewing figures for Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS will be released next week – so again, expect a sizable increase on the overnight figure.
