The latest edition of BBC technology programme Click features a look at tonight’s episode of Doctor Who, Knock Knock.
As reported previously, Knock Knock will be the first episode in the show’s history to employ a technique known as binaural audio, an immersive 3D sound experience for headphone listeners. This week’s episode of Click – Doctor Who and the Nanoracers – sees reporter Kate Russell visit the set of the episode, as well as hearing from Doctor Who producer Nikki Wilson and Catherine Robinson, audio supervisor at BBC Wales.
The BBC has already released a taster of the innovative audio technique in action in this week’s episode – check it out below:
Knock Knock airs tonight with standard audio at 7:20pm on BBC One, with the binaural version available immediately after broadcast on BBC iPlayer.
