We saw some details of a special 50th anniversary minisode, The Night of the Doctor, earlier this week – but now we have confirmation of the minisode, an air date and an intriguing synopsis.
The Night of the Doctor is listed on reliable TV listing sites Digiguide and Freeview as airing every day on the 50th anniversary week on the BBC Red Button in the UK, starting Saturday 16th November, when it will also most likely receive an online release on YouTube and the official website for fans outside the UK. A synopsis has also been released for the mini-episode:
The 50th Anniversary features Matt Smith, David Tennant and a mysterious incarnation played by John Hurt. Only one appears in this mini episode, The Night Of The Doctor. But which?
The episode runs for seven minutes. Full details about the content of the minisode have been promised shortly by the BBC – and with the rumours circulating about one Paul McGann making an appearance in a minisode, could this be that episode? Remember, there’s also another minisode, The Last Day…
