Following on from the recent new trailer, the BBC have released a second trailer which also confirms the Series 12 broadcast date.
Although we had heard about the New Year’s Day special, this is the first time the BBC has officially announced that the Doctor and her gang will be returning to our screens on 1st January 2020 in the first of a two-part episode called Spyfall.
The new trailer features some new clips from the series, including a more detailed glimpse at some of the new aliens that the TARDIS team will be facing.
What’s more, there’s an extra treat for American fans.
BBC America, BBC Studios and Fathom Events have once again partnered to bring Doctor Who to the big screen, with with a one-day-only special event on 5th January, featuring the premiere episode and an exclusive early unveiling of the second episode of the new season. The episodes will be simulcast to over 600 cinema screens nationwide.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Whittaker, Cole and Gill, transmitted from The Paley Center for Media in New York. Tickets for the screening and a list of participating locations will be available beginning Friday, Dec. 6 at www.FathomEvents.com
