The overnight UK viewing figures for last night’s episode, Thin Ice, have been released.
The episode had 3.76 million viewers on average, a drop of a little under half a million from last week’s episode. That’s a lower than average rating for the show, although the effects of the holiday weekend in Britain can be seen in a drop in ratings across the board last night.
Doctor Who was fifth for the day behind Britain’s Got Talent, All Round to Mrs Brown’s, Casualty and Pointless, and it won its timeslot comfortably against ITV’s Take Me Out.
The consolidated viewing figures will be released next week, where Doctor Who will likely rise notably in the ratings.
