Doctor Who: The Witch’s Familiar – Poll Results

For the past week you’ve been voting in our two polls for The Witch’s Familiar – our ‘rate the episode’ poll and our Question of the Week poll. We’ve now closed both polls and you can view the results below:

First up, our rate the episode poll. The Magician’s Apprentice saw Series 9 get off to an impressive start with our readers (view those results here) – but despite that high benchmark, The Witch’s Familiar went even better with a set of results that included absolutely zero 1/5 votes and almost two-thirds 5/5 votes:
  • Excellent (5/5) – 63.97%
  • Very good (4/5) – 29.41%
  • OK (3/5) – 4.41%
  • Poor (2/5) – 2.21%
  • Dreadful (1/5) – 0%
The Witch’s Familiar had an average score of 4.55/5, narrowly squeaking past previous champion Listen to become the best-rated episode on TGT since The Day of the Doctor. We’re also introducing the Series 9 leaderboard this week (it’s small, admittedly), and The Witch’s Familiar goes straight to the top spot. It’s hard to imagine any episode beating this score any time soon…
All average scores are out of 5.
  1. The Witch’s Familiar – 4.55
  2. The Magician’s Apprentice – 4.45
The Witch’s Familiar‘s Question of the Week asked: ‘Was Davros’ sincerity with the Doctor true?’. Did the revelation that the Doctor had been leading Davros on indicate that the Dalek creator’s crocodile tears were actually real? Unfortunately, TGT readers didn’t have too much faith in Davros, with a resounding consensus emerging:
  • Yes (Davros was telling the truth) – 29.41%
  • No (Davros was lying) – 70.59%
We’ll have a rate the episode poll for Under the Lake for you straight after the episode tonight at 9.10pm – and this week’s Question of the Week will be up tomorrow.
