The consolidated viewing figures for episode seven of Series 9, The Zygon Invasion, have been released.
The episode had 5.76 million viewers after a week of recordings, a rise of 1.89 million on the overnight rating of 3.87 million. That’s on the lower end of the final ratings for this series, but marks an above-average timeshift.
Doctor Who was the eleventh most watched programme of the week on BBC One behind two episodes of Strictly Come Dancing, The Apprentice, four episodes of EastEnders, Countryfile, Antiques Roadshow and the series premiere of The Hunt, and the 24th most watched overall. Both are normal chart placings for this series.
