Doctor Who’s Peter Capaldi Raises Funds For Fire-Ravaged School

Peter Capaldi recorded a special video message for the
students and faculty of the Glasgow Art
School, badly damaged by a fire in
May. Capaldi is an alumnus of the school, having graduated in 1980. He is
joined in the effort by American actor Brad Pitt, known for his charitable
contributions.
The video, a charming blend of heartfelt and funny, was
filmed on the set of Doctor Who. “I can always pop in here and see what I can
do,” says Capaldi, panning the camera to reveal the TARDIS doors behind him. “Give
me a minute.”

Plans for rebuilding the school are currently underway, on
the back of a wave of support from celebrities and the Scottish government. The
project could take up to four years to complete.
