Doctor Who fans in Africa are in for a special treat at their first ever Comic Con this September. Ahead of the launch of series 11, fans will have the opportunity to engage in a fully immersive TARDIS experience! Looks like this convention will be bigger on the inside.
BBC Studios in Africa has announced that they will be hosting a special Doctor Who experience for those attending Africa’s first ever Comic Con from 14th to 16th September. Fans of Doctor Who are encouraged to visit Johannesburg to take part in their immersive virtual reality TARDIS.
This will be a great way for old fans and new to celebrate Doctor Who ahead of the series 11 premiere scheduled for later this Autumn. The experience will include full virtual reality content, video games, Doctor Who trivia and giveaways. Fans will also get a chance to take part in a Whovian meet-up which can be found on the Event Programme, on Friday from 1-2PM in Content Zone 3 or Saturday & Sunday 1-2PM in Content Zone 2.
Those who attend the meet up will enjoy a screening of Twice Upon a Time which features the first appearance of Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor.
