Karen Gillan On Doctor Who And Her Future

Speaking to the Metro, Karen Gillan reflected on her time playing Amy Pond on Doctor Who and what she plans for her future.

The Scottish actress spoke of the upcoming series, calling it “the biggest series so far in terms of scale” and calling it “five movie-scale episodes”.

On the subject of whether she plans to pursue a Hollywood film, Karen was uncertain. Like another Doctor Who alumnus, Karen expressed an interest in theatre, possibly hinting at plans for the West End.

Interestingly, Karen also spoke of an interest in pursuing screenwriting, noting The Piano Teacher and Shame by name as personal favourites.

Karen has been cast in in the upcoming American horror film Oculus. We here at The Gallifrey Times wish Karen the best of luck in all her future projects.
