Series 6 Will Begin In Utah Desert

The BBC have today confirmed that the opening two episodes of Series 6 of Doctor Who will be set in the Utah Desert in the US.

They reveal the story is set in the late ’60s in which the Doctor, Amy and Rory find themselves on a secret summons to the Oval Office.

The two episodes have been filmed with BBC and BBC America.

Alex Kingston will be returning as River Song, the BBC also confirms.

Moffat said: “The Doctor has visited every weird and wonderful planet you can imagine, so he was bound get round to America eventually.

“And of course every Doctor Who fan will be jumping up and down and saying he’s been in America before. But not for real, not on location – and not with a story like this one.”

BBC America have also released a short trailer, showcasing that Doctor Who is arriving to be filmed in the US!
