Doctor Who writer has said that there will be no Daleks featured in Series 6. This might come as a shock to some viewers, as they are by far the most loved villain from Doctor Who.

Speaking to Radio Times, the showrunner said that it was “about time to give them a rest”, admitting that they had become “the most reliably defeatable enemies in the universe”.
Following the attention the statements attracted online, Moffat said on Twitter: “Daleks: I was talking about THIS series. Stand down.”
When a follower asked Moffat if he was “getting some flack” for his earlier comments, he responded: “Quite the opposite – everyone seems to think it’s a GOOD idea. But it’s now what I meant. (sic)”
The Daleks appeared in 2005 episode ‘Dalek’ and again in ‘Bad Wolf’/’The Parting of the Ways’ at the end of that series. The finale of series two, ‘Army of Ghosts’/’Doomsday’, featured Daleks.
Mid-season three two-parter ‘Daleks in Manhattan’/’Evolution of the Daleks’ also included the aliens, as did series four finale ‘The Stolen Earth’/Journey’s End’.
The Eleventh Doctor first encountered the Daleks on screen in ‘Victory of the Daleks’ and they returned in series five finale ‘The Pandorica Opens’ and ‘The Big Bang’.
