“Kindly refrain from referring to them as Doc Martens!” the Doctor snapped, channeling his former self as Clara admired his new outfit.
This potential idea for a future scene comes after the BBC posted a tweet admitting that the boots to be worn by Peter Capaldi’s Doctor, are not, as they suggested in the big reveal on Monday, Doc Martens.
The new boots worn by the Doctor are not Dr. Martens as our expert costume department believed they were but he may wear them in the future.

The boots are actually made by Loake – a footwear firm based in Kettering with a warrant of appointment to the Queen – and it has been discovered that Peter Capaldi bought the boots himself.
Peter Capaldi came in a week or two before Christmas and said he was looking for a pair of smart dress boots. I suggested this one, because not only is it very smart, it’s exclusive to us and made in England. It’s a great boot. He bought it in size 10.
The new costume was analysed in article by the Telegraph, in which it transpired that Crombie apparently didn’t make the new coat, despite it being labeled as a ‘Crombie coat’ by the BBC.
